The young man in the picture is Mr. Jiang, a farmer from Jiang Gezhuang Village in Qingdao City, Shandong Province. Speaking of Mr. Jiang, although he is young, he is known to everyone in the village.

Mr. Jiang was born in a family of carpenters. His ancestors were rural carpenters for 3 generations. For this industry, I believe that the post-70s and post-80s have heard of it. In the countryside, wood chairs and tables are usually used. The furniture is all made by carpenters. In the past, whoever got married had to go to the carpenter to make a wedding bed. After hearing and seeing,  Mr. Jiang learned wood working skills from his father, which may have been inherited from the family. Coupled with his hard work, at the age of 18, he was able to make money by making furniture for the villagers by himself.

With the development of the economy and the advancement of science and technology, especially the improvement of farmers' economic income, the furniture market in rural areas is also changing quietly. More and more people go to furniture malls to buy furniture, and few people go to carpenters to make furniture. Mr. Jiang gradually became dissatisfied with the traditional woodworking skills. By chance, he went to Nuoya Yijia(Sinoah Co.,), a well-known brand factory in the local industrial park.

In Sinoah ,  Mr. Jiang made solid wood furniture, which he is good at, while learning the craft of custom cabinets from the master. In his own words, he came to study. Because he is young, eager to learn, willing to endure hardships, and has a solid background in craftsmanship,  Mr. Jiang learned quickly, and later transferred to the intelligent workshop that involves the most tools, parameters, and materials: edge sealing.

According to statistics, in the production line of the smart workshop, more than 60% of the downtime is caused by the edge banding process, more than 80% of the reworked panels are caused by abnormal edge banding, and more than 25% of the complaints are related to edge banding. Therefore, edge banding is the most complex process in the production process of custom cabinet furniture.  Mr. Jiangand his team colleagues analyzed the current situation of the edge banding process and edge banding equipment, and put forward a series of practical operation plans.

First of all, according to the degree of automation of the edge banding machine: manual edge banding machine, automatic edge banding machine and intelligent edge banding machine, the personnel are divided into corresponding 3 groups to improve the operator's proficiency, and then improve the panel edge banding operation. Second, increase the operation proportion of intelligent edge banding machine. The relatively flexible automatic edge banding machine can complete the straight edge banding operation of special-shaped parts, while the manual edge banding machine is inefficient but the most flexible, which can complete the curve edge banding operation and Small size panels. Thirdly, Mr. Jiang 's team also proposed to strengthen the control of materials, reduce on-site confusion, improve the control of quality inspection information, improve the stability of equipment, etc. A series of measures have greatly improved the quality of edge sealing and reduced the inconvenience in production. Necessary downtime and rework reduce customer complaint rates.

In this way,  Mr. Jiang has been working in Sinoah family for 7 years, during which he met many woodworking masters, and he has also grown from an ordinary worker to a workshop supervisor. In 2021, the village where he is located will be demolished, and the bungalow in the small fishing village will be turned into a high-rise building. In the past, partners are worrying about how to decorate their new home. Should they replace the cabinet or buy a new one? How much does a 10×10 kitchen remodel cost? What style of cabinet is the most popular? This gave him another opportunity to show his craftsmanship. Soon, he joined the designers to measure rulers, compound rulers, produce drawings, and discuss repeatedly. According to everyone's preferences and apartment types, he finally made a cost-saving and affordable solution. Beautiful scheme.

It was during the design process of the relocation house that Mr. Jiang 's infatuation with furniture moved a girl, and they finally got married, which made him firmer in his love for the furniture business. This year, he is planning to decorate his own home. New home! Bless him.
